The human and financial costs of workplace bullying are immense, and left unaddressed can cause huge distress and long-term damage to staff health and productivity. Human Resource Departments are only too familiar with the problem and many are actively seeking ways in which to both manage it and ultimately prevent it arising.
Bullying & Harassment Advisers Training.
(training for managers and team leaders)
As a key component of their ‘Dignity at Work’ policy an increasing number of organisations are establishing in-house teams to support staff who feel that they are being bullied at work. They are also conducting a campaign to raise awareness of bullying issues amongst the workforce, and to encourage people affected to seek help and support. Having an internal team of trusted and credible staff members makes this easy to access.
However that team has to be appropriately trained and supported in order to offer effective help. It also needs to work together well and to clearly understand its role and remit.
